ENCORE PERFORMANCE

Join Music Theater Works for one night only for an encore performance of fun and safe outdoor summer concert at the North Shore Center in Skokie.  We will be performing our Richard Rodgers’ Greatest Hits Concert in the North Shore Center’s rear parking lot. This concert will provide much-needed support for our local artists and musicians while providing a night of great entertainment to our wonderful supporters. ABOUT THE CONCERT

Richard Rodgers’ contributions to musical theatre of his day were extraordinary, and his influence on the musical theatre genre is without comparison. His career spanned more than six decades composing music for over 900 songs and 43 Broadway musicals. Rodgers was also the first person to win the top show business awards in music, television, film, and Broadway (Grammy, Emmy, Oscar, and Tony).  With his collaborators Lorenz Hart and later with Oscar Hammerstein II, Rodgers produced some of the most successful musicals in Broadway history. His works include Babes in Arms, Pal Joey, Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I and The Sound of Music.

How the Concert Works?

Tickets & Seating

We brought our concert operation out back to our 31,000 square-foot parking lot and set up a stage. We can have only a limited capacity of 200 total people in separate and socially distant spaces. 100 seats will be reserved for 2020 season subscribers.

Tickets will be sold for your group—two (2) minimum and six (6) maximum—consisting of persons from your same household or accepted health safety bubble.

All tickets are sold as general admission reservations, like a restaurant, and your group will be seated upon arrival at the discretion of on-site management to maintain proper health safety distances.

♪ The concert starts at 7:00pm and will have scheduled rain day.

Health Safety Measures & Rules

The health and safety of our patrons, artists and employees are the priority! BUT we need your help! We must all be mindfully cautious, wear face masks, and maintain proper social distance spacings in a fresh evening environment outside. We thank you for your cooperation in following our safety measures outlined here and that comply with official guidance allowing these events to happen.

The North Shore Center has taken enhanced health, safety and cleaning measures to protect artists and patrons, and reduce transmission risks of the coronavirus. Please understand your own personal health risks and take proper precautions in your exposure decisions. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By attending, participants assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Please bring a face covering. We will require the wearing face coverings and observation of proper social distancing.

Following official guidelines, you may remove your face mask while socially distanced and/or eating or drinking in your performance viewing space. However, we will require face masks while visiting our restrooms and concessions, speaking with staff and other attendees, and when moving through the performance area.

We ask patrons limit overall movement within the concert space and to stay in their assigned seating space when not visiting the restrooms or concessions.

♪ We ask that our concert patrons limit the projection of any respiratory droplets by consistent mask use at the concert and by refraining from shouting and singing.

♪ Patrons that do not wish to comply with standard health safety measures proven effective to keep others safe should not attend. Patrons must comply with concert guidelines or they will be removed from concert site without a refund.

♪ A buffer space between stage performers and audience will be established and maintained.

♪ All personnel will wear face coverings and safety gloves, when appropriate.

♪ The North Shore Center will have security personnel enforcing our event health safety measures.


Concessions & Amenities

Cold soft-drinks, beer, wine, and pre-packaged food items will be available at an outdoor concession stand with plastic safety barriers installed between patrons and service staff.

♪ Patrons are welcome to bring their own chairs, blankets, coolers, non-alcoholic beverages and food.

♪ Due to the nature of our liquor license, outside alcohol and liquor is prohibited. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased from the concession stand. All alcoholic consumption must take place within our concert venue borders.

♪ Our assisted listening devices do not work outdoors and will be unavailable.

♪ Jameson’s Charhouse, located next-door of the Center, will be receiving carryout food orders that patrons may bring into the concert area to eat. For menu and all orders, please directly contact Jameson’s:

Please Do Not Bring

NO…grills or stoves, tents or canopies of any size, items requiring ground staking, or large umbrellas.

NO…throwing balls, frisbees or drones.

NO…outside alcohol, liquor, wine, or kegs of beer.

NO…bikes, scooters or skates. Covered bike racks are located in the bottom level of the parking garage.

NO…smoking or vaping in the concert area. Please smoke only in designated smoking area provided.

NO…pets or animals, except federally licensed service animals.

NO…weapons, audio/video recording equipment or stereos.
